About the Job: As the Engineering Manager (Process Systems), you will play a critical role in scaling up the company’s patented manufacturing technology and optimizing production processes. This hands-on position involves designing and implementing process systems, troubleshooting challenges, and driving innovative solutions to support the company’s growth trajectory.
- Proven experience in process engineering within material processing, physical goods, or commodity manufacturing. Familiarity with pulp and paper or insulation industries is a plus.
- Skilled in developing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and conducting mass, air, and energy balances.
- Expertise in process design tools, with experience in process modeling and equipment specification.
- Demonstrated ability to execute plant startups and manage process improvements in production environments.
- Self-motivated problem solver with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 10+ years of equivalent experience in an engineering role.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing process changes in manufacturing environments.
- Fluent in the design tools AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Process modeling experience is required.
- The ability to balance the theoretical and practical requirements of the job is required.
- Strong familiarity with air handling equipment, and/or cellulose products is advantageous.
Compensation: $120,000–$130,000 salary
Work Style: Remote with significant travel requirements. Candidates may be remotely located but should expect significant travel to Buffalo, NY, and other job sites—up to 50% during the engineering phase and 90% during startup.
