About the Job: The Field Service Technician will:
- Perform a variety of technical field service duties, including new product installations, equipment start-up, functional testing, and customer training.
- Act as a professional company representative, ensuring exceptional customer service at customer locations or in any service support role.
- Read, understand, and work with blueprints, drawings, schematics, manuals, and other specifications.
- Document machine data, service history, and quality information.
- Assist customers with parts identification and ordering.
- Demonstrate products as necessary to support sales.
- Communicate with regional managers to ensure customer expectations are met and important information is relayed to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain prompt communication of expenses and service reports on a weekly basis.
- Make recommendations for changes and improvements based on field service activities.
- Travel domestically up to 100% and occasionally internationally to support service areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Electrical and mechanical background is a must.
- 100% travel is required.
- Close to an airport to minimize weekly travel.
- Ideal candidates would live close to a major airport. Locations include but are not limited to east coast (NY, New England), Mid-Atlantic (PA), MI, FL, and NC.
- Candidates are required to have a credit card with a minimum limit of $2,500.00 (For car rentals, hotels, and other expenses)
- Expenses are reimbursed weekly.
- Pre-employment physical and drug screen is required.
- MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) report to confirm acceptance/coverage under insurance that covers company cars and car rentals.
Compensation: $28/hr + travel expenses + overtime pay
