About the Job:

The Senior Director of Global Trade Compliance is responsible for leading the organization's worldwide trade compliance function, ensuring adherence to U.S. and international import/export regulations while supporting strategic business growth. This executive leadership role oversees global compliance programs, regulatory risk management, and a team of trade compliance professionals across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and lead the company's global trade compliance strategy and governance framework.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international import/export, customs, and sanctions regulations.
  • Oversee global trade compliance operations, audits, licensing, and risk management initiatives.
  • Partner with executive leadership, legal, supply chain, and business teams to support strategic initiatives while minimizing regulatory risk.
  • Lead and develop a global team, driving continuous improvement, process automation, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and oversee government audits and compliance matters.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive trade compliance experience, preferably within a global manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. and international trade regulations, including import/export compliance.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide compliance programs and managing global teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment in the Buffalo, NY area or relocate.


Compensation:

$275,000 - $315,000 base salary, annual bonus, long-term incentive, comprehensive benefits package, and relocation assistance.
