About the Job: The Manufacturing Engineer is accountable for ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production through process optimization, technical support, and cross-functional collaboration. This role serves as a key link between engineering, production, and quality teams, driving continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with industry standards (ANSI, IEEE). The engineer is responsible for analyzing manufacturing challenges, implementing solutions, introducing new technologies, and training staff to meet production goals


Key responsibilities include:

·      Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOM, and instructions to ensure manufacturability and compliance

·      Participate in engineering/manufacturing design reviews and provide input on manufacturability

·      Serve as liaison between design engineering and production teams to resolve technical challenges

·      Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure quality

·      Standardize best practices across departments and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions

·      Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize workflows

·      Track and analyze KPIs, defining and executing actions for continuous improvement

·      Review and respond to quality assurance issues, nonconformances, and corrective actions

·      Lead failure analysis during production and final testing to identify root causes and implement corrective measures

·      Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and customer specifications

·      Select appropriate tools, machinery, and equipment for production

·      Support budgeting and capital expenditure planning for equipment upgrades

·      Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for potential adoption

·      Work closely with production operators, quality design engineers, and supply chain teams

·      Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to production staff

·      Advise management on manufacturing issues, providing solutions to optimize performance



Minimum Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

·      7+ years’ experience in manufacturing, with proven ability to read and interpret technical documents

·      Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ANSI, IEEE)

·      Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems; skilled in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; creative thinker with attention to detail



Compensation: $95,000-$110,000

Job Status: Direct hire, onsite in Buffalo, NY
