About the Company Hiring: Our client is a growing organization focused on supporting entrepreneurship, innovation, and early-stage businesses through investment and financing programs. The organization works closely with entrepreneurs, investors, business partners, and community stakeholders to provide capital, resources, and strategic support to emerging companies.


About the Opportunity: The Investment Manager will support investment programs, portfolio management, investor relations, and special projects. This role is well suited for someone with a strong analytical background who is interested in startups, entrepreneurship, venture capital, and early-stage investing.


Responsibilities:


- Source and screen prospective investment opportunities.

- Conduct market research, financial analysis, due diligence, and competitive analysis.

- Develop financial models, investment summaries, and presentation materials.

- Support investment committee activities and financing transactions.

- Monitor portfolio company performance, milestones, and reporting requirements.

- Assist portfolio companies with identifying needs and resources.

- Support investor reporting, communications, and relationship management.

- Assist with fund operations, compliance, reporting, and audits.

- Support fundraising efforts and development of new financing programs.

- Manage special projects and coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and professional advisors.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.

- 1–2 years of relevant experience through internships, academic projects, or professional roles in finance, investment, consulting, data analysis, or a related field.

- Interest or experience in startups, venture capital, private equity, entrepreneurship, or early-stage companies.

- Strong financial analysis, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial and analytical tools.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.

- Experience with CRM, fund management, or financial software is a plus.

- Willingness to participate in occasional evening events and travel as needed.


Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 base salary


Location: Hybrid in Buffalo, NY
