The Chapter Director will serve as the operational engine of the chapter, delivering high-quality programs, managing sponsor and member relationships, and supporting chapter growth. This is an ideal opportunity for a confident communicator and hands-on leader with experience in nonprofits, associations, or event-driven environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic and Board Leadership

  • Partner with the Chapter President and Board to define and execute the chapter’s strategic plan.
  • Coordinate board and executive committee meetings, including agendas, communications, and follow-up items.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with national leadership and other regional chapters to share best practices and ensure alignment.

Event Management and Program Delivery

  • Plan and execute 16–20 high-impact annual chapter events, including:
  • Signature awards events (500+ attendees)
  • Industry networking forums for investment professionals
  • Large-scale regional conferences (1,200+ attendees, every seven years)
  • Lead event logistics—venue booking, vendor coordination, registration, attendee support, and post-event reporting.

Member Engagement and Growth

  • Collaborate with the Membership Committee to recruit, onboard, and retain chapter members.
  • Oversee member communications, onboarding touchpoints, and engagement programs (e.g., curated networking, peer-to-peer connections).
  • Manage communications, track engagement metrics, and present insights to chapter leadership.

Sponsor Relations and Fundraising

  • Support sponsorship strategy, prospecting, and stewardship in coordination with the President and Sponsorship Committee.
  • Manage relationships with annual sponsors, delivering high-touch service and benefit fulfillment.
  • Coordinate sponsor invoicing, tracking, and ongoing stewardship.

Communications and Brand Visibility

  • Lead external communications, including newsletters, email campaigns, social media, and website updates.
  • Design marketing materials and event graphics using Canva, Adobe, and other creative tools.
  • Represent the chapter at industry events to elevate visibility and cultivate partnerships.

Financial Management

  • Collaborate with the Treasurer and Finance Committee to prepare and manage the annual budget.
  • Monitor event and monthly financial performance, ensuring alignment with growth and sustainability goals.
  • Process accounts payable and coordinate with vendors and contractors on billing and payments.

Administrative Oversight and Systems

  • Maintain chapter data and records, including event history, member records, and board documents.
  • Manage CRM/database (Rhythm AMS preferred) and track member activity and registration data.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and chapter policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Significant experience (typically 7+ years) leading operations, programming, or engagement for nonprofit, association, or event-based organizations.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and lead through influence across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with platforms such as LinkedIn Pro, Canva, SurveyMonkey, Informz, and CRM/AMS tools (Rhythm preferred).
  • Experience in the private capital, M&A, or membership-based professional communities is a strong plus.
