  • The Sr. Administrative Analyst will work in team-oriented environment.
  • The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with coworkers, perform administrative duties, demonstrate critical thinking skills and have at least 4 years of workers' compensation claims experience working with both litigated and non-litigated claims.  
  • The Sr. Administrative Analyst will prioritize work assignments and be detail orient and have strong communication and customer service skills to work with employees, Third Party Administrator’s (TPA), Providers, and staff within other Groups and Units. 
  • This position will focus on Workers Comp claims administration and assisting with Industrial Accommodations by coordinating with our TPAs, Tristar Risk Management, Hanna Brophy (California’s Original Workers’ Compensation Defense Firm), TCS Risk Management, and collaborating with other staff within the Unit, Safety and Risk Management.
  • This position is needed to ensure we comply with the Department of Industrial Relations, the Offices of Self-Insurance Plans, and OSHA for work-related injuries, illnesses, and incidents.


Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience; or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of relevant experience; or two years in a MWD Analyst classification.


KNOWLEDGE IN PROCESSING:

  • Workers Comp Claims, Third Party Administrator’s (TPA), Dept of Industrial Relations and Offices of Self Insurance Plans (OSIP).


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABIILITIES TO:

  • Identify, analyze and resolve complex budgetary, procedural, and organizational issues and implement modifications to existing programs, systems, and procedures.
  • Provide project management support and manage projects; research, gather and compile data; prepare and review correspondence, documents, and reports; administer contracts; prepare clear and concise reports; monitor budgets and utilize financial tracking systems;
  • use applicable software applications; prepare & deliver presentations; organize and prioritize work.
  • Use independent judgment and exercise discretion; problem solve; prioritize and multi-task; communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; work independently and in a team environment; lead and train; and operate current office equipment including computers and supporting applications. 
  • Expert Level (MSOffice, SharePoint).
  • Personable, Team Player, Flexible, Multitask and handles pressure well.
  • Detail orient, Organized, Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills a must.
  • A minimum of 4 Years experience in Workers Comp Claims.  
  • Knowledge in processing Workers Comp Claims where’s NO training will be required. 
  • Processing billing for Claims is A+.


The hiring range for this position is $56 to $62 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
