- The Administrative Assistant II will work in a very busy team-oriented environment. The Administrative Assistant II responsibilities will include various job tasks to support Safety and Technical Training district wide. 
- These tasks include but are not limited to: 
- Preparing documents, announcements, and reminders.
- Attending and participating in a variety of meetings; preparing reports and agendas; and disseminating information to Metropolitan staff.
- Performing data entry functions, including maintaining, entering, correcting, and updating data, as well as verifying data for accuracy and completeness.
- Carrying out clerical accounting duties, such as receiving, auditing, and ensuring invoices are correct for payment, including travel reimbursements and purchase orders; matching invoices to purchase orders; and issuing releases for payment.
- Managing records input, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
- Administering and processing all blanket order releases and resolving procurement issues.
- Assisting with program and training enrollments, tracking, and reporting.
- Participating in various operational and special projects and assignments as requested.
Other related administrative duties.

- The Administrative Assistant II will prioritize work assignments, be detail oriented and have strong communication skills. 
- *The hiring manager is asking for someone professional who has 5years experience using MSOffice, Oracle, and OneDrive.  
Experience Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or general education development test (GED) and five years of relevant experience; or Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and three years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and one year of relevant experience; or two years in a Administrative Assistant I classification.
KNOWLEDGE IN PROCESSING:
- Administrative procedures and systems; methods and techniques of data collection, report preparation; budgeting and basic financial concepts; and current office technology and equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABIILITIES TO:
- Make arithmetic computations with speed and accuracy; and apply business policies and procedures; use independent judgment and exercise discretion; problem solve; prioritize and multi-task; communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; work independently and in a team environment; and operate current office equipment including computers and supporting applications.
- Personable, Team Player, Flexible, Multitask and handles pressure well.
- Detail orient, Organized, Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills a must.

The hiring range for this position is $37 to $39 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors
