Job Title: Program Scheduler / Program Management Specialist


About the Role

Are you a detail-oriented scheduler with a passion for driving program success? We’re looking for an experienced professional to join our Client as a Program Scheduler / Program Management Specialist. In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for creating and managing comprehensive project schedules, ensuring alignment with program objectives, and expanding your skills within program management. If you have a strong background in scheduling, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), and Agile frameworks—and you’re eager to take on more responsibility—this opportunity is for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Development:
  • Create and manage a detailed, integrated project schedule that incorporates all program activities, dependencies, milestones, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with overall program objectives.
  • EVM Implementation:
  • Apply Earned Value Management principles to monitor project performance against the baseline schedule, conduct program validity checks, and identify schedule variances and milestone statuses.
  • Critical Path Analysis:
  • Utilize critical path methodology to pinpoint critical tasks and identify areas where delays could significantly impact project completion.
  • Schedule Baseline Management:
  • Establish and maintain a baseline schedule, managing any changes through a formal change control process.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate regular schedule status reports—including performance metrics, trend analyses, and risk assessments—to effectively communicate project health to stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using Microsoft Project in program scheduling, with at least 2 years in an EVMS environment.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint and Deltek Cobra software.
  • Deep understanding of schedule development, maintenance, and analysis within EVMS.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Active security clearance is preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
