Job Opportunity: Electronic Technician iII Journeyman

Location: Fort Jackson, South Carolina

Start Date: June/July 2025 - Contingent upon task order award


Engenium is hiring an Electronic Technician iII Journeyman to support training and simulation systems at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. In this role, you will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades on simulation equipment to ensure operational readiness.



Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on LOMAH Devices, and GFP following technical manuals and best practices.

• Track maintenance timelines and coordinate travel for offsite support when necessary.

• Ensure maintenance activities do not interfere with training, exercises, or testing schedules.

• Accurately record all maintenance actions in real-time using InSITE.

• Track warranty terms for equipment, ensuring compliance with part numbers, serial numbers, and locations.

• Set up and test LOMAH Devices, verifying proper interoperability and functionality.

• Manage hardware baselines, reverting to previous configurations if updates fail.

• Analyze maintenance trends, track component usage, and implement risk management strategies to improve reliability.

• Conduct failure analysis and manage obsolescence of hardware components.

• Install modifications and upgrade kits per manufacturer guidelines.

• May serve as a preventive maintenance rover for unstaffed sites.

• Responsible for installing and maintaining software, managing patches, and ensuring security compliance for installed applications and operating systems.



Qualifications

• Experience (10+ years with Bachelors or Masters OR 21+ years with AA or no Degree)

  • Extensive knowledge of electronics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of TADSS and GFP Devices
  • Familiarity with LOMAH simulation environments.
  • Software / hardware installations, patch management and troubleshooting.

• Knowledge of technical manuals, preventive maintenance procedures, and industry best practices.

• Ability to track maintenance logs and adhere to warranty terms.

• Experience setting up and testing training and simulation equipment.

• Understanding of risk management strategies and hardware lifecycle management.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (pass NACI background check)



Additional Details

• Position is based at Fort Jackson, SC with potential travel to support maintenance at other sites.

Base contract: 1 year, with 5 option years.
