GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating the activities for the regional ready mix operations including: planning, budgeting, forecasting, pipeline development and key performance indicators (KPIS) while ensuring safe, efficient and cost effective operational and commercial excellence. Under the direction of the Executive Vice President, supports business development and growth strategies to obtain maximum efficiency, economize operations, emphasize commercial excellence and maximize profits. Serves as a company representative to the community and supports the regional and corporate initiatives as needed. Works closely with safety, environmental and human resources team leaders to develop a safe and great place to work environment that attracts and retains employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors’ degree in construction, engineering or related field with seven years of progressively responsible management experience in a construction materials setting.
- Experience working and managing ready mix concrete facilities.
- Proficient knowledge in computer skills and computer software relative to construction materials industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, lead and mentor others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including making presentations.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced degree in construction, engineering or related field with ten years experience in a construction materials setting.
- Significant knowledge of construction materials operations with strong emphasis on math and analytical skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for developing and coordinating operational and commercial ready mix plans throughout the region.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, tracking and coordinating key performance indicators throughout the region for ready mix sales and operations.
- Works with regional leadership to support and promote key corporate safety, operational and commercial goals throughout the region.
- Works with regional leadership to support customer focus, quality standards, and margin expansion through dynamic pricing.
- Engaged in corporate strategic integration of growth opportunities within the region.
- Works to develop and maintain working relationships with major vendors and coordinates vendor alignment throughout the region.
- Provide leadership and vision to foster employee growth and retention.
- Ability to travel on short notice and for extended periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
