The General Manager - Aggregates job responsibilities include:
- Oversee all Aggregate Mining, Production and Reclamation operations in Southern and Central Oregon, including short and long-term mine planning, drilling, and blasting operations focusing on safety, profitability, and efficiencies.
- Represent Company by attending and participating in relevant state and national industry associations.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all permit and operating requirements for each mine site including but not limited to operating conditions, permit sensitivities, permit boundaries, and renewal dates.
- Ensure regulatory agency compliance at all locations.
- Understand all lease and royalty agreements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with property owners and neighboring property owners.
- Assure all quality requirements of the aggregates are met.
- Budget for and manage all Capital Improvement Projects associated with the South-Central Aggregates Group and oversee the maintenance of production equipment and mobile equipment.
- Evaluate performance of the management team: coach and challenge team members to develop “bench strength”.
- Monitor and maintain production reports, timecards, and other required reports for mine site.
- Work with Superintendents and other General Managers within the region on production, quality, maintenance, environmental, personnel and safety issues.
- Maintain a zero injury, zero incident and zero citation culture.
