Lead Manufacturing Engineer


As a Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will be critical in optimizing machining processes, improving machine and operator efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll work in a dynamic environment that values innovation, safety, and collaboration.


Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.


Experience:

  • At least 4 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with CNC programming, tooling, methods development, and fixture design.
  • Proficiency with SAP and statistical controls.
  • Knowledge of plating, painting, and assembly finish applications.
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills.
  • Understanding of PLC/CNC programming, GD&T, and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills—ability to convey complex information clearly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize CNC machining processes for higher efficiency and product quality.
  • Create/modify CNC programs using Mastercam, Siemens, Fanuc, or similar platforms.
  • Select tooling, fixtures, and work-holding solutions to enhance manufacturing performance.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programming, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams for manufacturability and NPI support.
  • Analyze cycle times, tooling lifespan, and machining parameters to boost cost efficiency.
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan and execute capital improvement projects (e.g., equipment upgrades).
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for manufacturing processes and SOPs.
  • Improve site capabilities, safety, and utilization through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Use change management and project management skills for effective implementation of improvements.
