We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee all facets of cabinetry production in our manufacturing facility. The Plant Manager will supervise leads, production workers, apprentices, practicum students, forklift operators, finishers, co-op students, and administrative coordinators. This role ensures efficient operations, meets production targets, maintains quality standards, and fosters a safe and productive workplace.



Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time


Salary: Competitive, based on experience.


Shift: 40 hours per week


Education: Cabinet Maker or Joinery ticket considered a strong asset.


Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cabinetry or millwork manufacturing, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in cabinetry production on a multi-residential scale 
  • Experience with Inventory control software and CNC machines


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the manufacturing facility 
  • Execute and augment the efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment to meet production targets 
  • Manage the maintenance folks, schedule, tracking 
  • Manage the maintenance budget, schedule and tracking 
  • Work with Production Information and the site to manage production schedules and maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products 
  • Participate in planned changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work 
  • Supervise the QC process and persons 
  • Work with the QC and trainer to supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques. 
  • Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work
  • Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations


Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to review and understand Cabinetry & Millwork Shop Drawings 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and learn to work on the company server
  • Team player with good work ethic and exceptional communication skills
