Outside Technical Sales Rep - Hamilton, ON

This role is ideal for a technically minded, confident sales professional with a background in industrial, construction, automotive parts distribution, chemical, lubricant or technical sales. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop new business while growing existing customer relationships
• Prospect, cold call and visit customers throughout Southern Ontario
• Understand customers’ technical needs and recommend the right products
• Sell automotive, concrete form release and specialty industrial lubricant products
• Prepare quotes, proposals and tenders and close sales
• Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshoot product applications
• Monitor market trends, competitors and new product developments
• Stay current on evolving product science, technology and industry trends

WHAT YOU BRING

• Sales experience, preferably in industrial, lubricant, chemical or technical sales
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand and explain technical information
• A genuine interest in learning and staying current with industry developments
• Strong prospecting, negotiation and closing skills
• Self-motivated, organized and comfortable working independently
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
