Accounting Manager / Senior Accounting Manager

Location: New York, NY (Onsite)

A large, publicly traded global organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its corporate finance team in New York. This role will support the corporate close process, consolidations, and financial reporting activities while partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization.

This is a highly visible position within the finance organization and offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, international teams, and multiple business units.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely consolidation of financial results under U.S. GAAP

• Analyze financial results and investigate variances, including intercompany activity and consolidation adjustments

• Assist in the oversight and documentation of intercompany accounting processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across business units

• Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, tax, legal, and operational teams to support financial reporting and analysis

• Assist with changes in corporate structure and ensure proper accounting treatment within the consolidation framework

• Coordinate with international teams to support chart of accounts alignment, data mapping, and financial reconciliation processes

• Support ongoing improvements to financial systems, master data integrity, and reporting processes within the ERP environment

• Assist in maintaining compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements

• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• CPA strongly preferred

• 6–9+ years of accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting and industry experience

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and the month-end close process

• Experience working in a public company environment and familiarity with SOX controls

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
