Position Overview:

We are seeking a Director of Accounting to serve as a key member of the Chief Accounting Officer’s (CAO) office. This is a high-impact, stand-alone role suited for a true utility player—someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You’ll act as a right hand to the VP of Finance, Controller, and CAO, supporting a variety of accounting and finance functions, along with high-visibility ad hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate directly with executive leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives
• Own or support critical areas including lease accounting, tax, corporate accounting, monthly close, and financial reporting
• Serve as a flexible resource across functions, quickly adapting to priorities as needed
• Identify and implement process improvements and help drive system efficiencies
• Support the integrity and accuracy of financial statements and reporting packages
• Act as a key liaison between business operations and accounting/finance teams

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of corporate and public accounting a plus
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP; experience in retail or multi-location environments a plus
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a high-demand environment
• Strong systems orientation; ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools
• Highly resourceful with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working closely with executive leadership
