Statutory Reporting & Technical Accounting
- Lead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including footnotes, operating metrics, MD&A, and accounting memos, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of all financial disclosures.
- Ensure all statutory reports comply with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and legal obligations.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate accounting policies, procedures, and processes to ensure consistent corporate compliance.
Bank Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Oversee preparation and delivery of consolidated financial and operational reports, identifying process improvements and implementing necessary changes.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and implement reporting frameworks and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with senior management to understand reporting needs and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Audit Coordination & Regulatory Compliance
- Stay current on financial regulations, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements, ensuring organizational compliance.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors during statutory audits, preparing and reviewing documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Implement audit recommendations to enhance reporting processes and internal controls.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage the reporting team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Establish and maintain efficient reporting processes and standards.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure reporting activities support organizational goals.
