International Tax Manager
Overview
This position plays a key role in overseeing global tax compliance and supporting the company’s international tax strategy. The individual will lead non-US components of the U.S. tax provision, contribute to cross-border planning initiatives, and support integration efforts tied to acquisitions and internal structuring. This role also includes mentorship of junior team members and coordination with external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and review international components of the consolidated U.S. income tax filings, including:
- Foreign entity reporting (e.g., Forms 5471 and 8858) and related earnings calculations
- Foreign tax credit computations and allocation methodologies
- Select book-to-tax adjustments and supporting disclosures
- Analysis of GILTI, Subpart F income, and related inclusions
- Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes, focusing on international considerations
- Contribute to global tax planning initiatives by identifying issues, conducting technical research, and assisting with execution across areas such as:
- Legal entity restructuring
- Cash repatriation strategies
- Transfer pricing considerations
- Collaborate with transfer pricing leadership on intercompany policies, documentation, and planning efforts
- Partner with finance teams across international locations to address local tax compliance, reporting, and audit-related matters
- Drive enhancements in tax processes and systems, including automation opportunities and optimization of tax technology platforms
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR) as well as external advisors and tax authorities
Qualifications
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or industry, with exposure to international tax matters
- Strong understanding of U.S. international tax rules, including provisions introduced under recent tax reform
- Experience with global tax provisioning and effective tax rate modeling for multinational organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA or advanced tax degree is a plus
- Working knowledge of ASC 740 and related reporting requirements
