The Assistant Controller position supports day-to-day financial operations and reporting activities, working closely with senior members of the Finance team. The individual in this role will contribute to accurate financial records, assist with close processes, and help maintain effective internal practices while minimizing disruption to daily operations.

The work is hands-on and best suited for someone who enjoys digging into details, understanding how numbers connect across the organization, and improving processes over time.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support ongoing accounting activities related to payroll, prepaids, fixed assets, reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Assist with monthly and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of supporting schedules
• Investigate and resolve differences identified during reconciliations or reviews
• Partner with external reviewers during annual reporting cycles
• Help prepare internal financial reports and analyze period-over-period changes
• Coordinate required annual filings and compliance-related tasks
• Collaborate with colleagues across Finance, HR, Payroll, and Expense teams
• Contribute to documentation, process reviews, and special projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Undergraduate degree with a concentration in accounting or a closely related field
• A few years of experience in a financial reporting or accounting environment
• Background in a public accounting or professional services setting is helpful but not required
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. accounting standards
• Attention to detail, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
• Comfort working with spreadsheets and financial systems; experience with cloud-based ERP platforms is a plus
• Clear communicator who can explain financial information to different audiences
