Senior Operations Analyst

Position Overview
Our client, a growing commercial finance organization, is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst to join its Operations team. This individual will support the day-to-day administration of lending operations, collateral reporting, loan servicing, and portfolio analysis. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process funding and advance requests.
- Maintain accurate loan and collateral information within internal systems.
- Review daily cash activity and reconcile loan transactions.
- Perform daily, weekly, and month-end operational processing and reporting.
- Reconcile loan balances, collateral activity, and client financial data.
- Monitor collateral performance and identify trends or potential risks.
- Assist with portfolio reporting, collateral reviews, and loan administration.
- Track required documentation, insurance, and compliance items.
- Support onboarding of new lending relationships, including system setup and operational implementation.
- Cross-train across core operations functions and provide team coverage as needed.
- Assist with special projects and other operational initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support general ledger and accounting-related activities.
- Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management functions.
- Coordinate with banking partners regarding treasury management and client account administration.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding operational requests and routine servicing needs.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in banking, commercial lending, asset-based lending, commercial finance, loan operations, or a related financial services environment.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to learn new financial systems and technology platforms.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting commercial loan operations or collateral administration.
- Exposure to portfolio reporting, reconciliations, or loan servicing.
- Knowledge of commercial lending documentation and operational processes is a plus.
