We are currently looking for a Pre-Sales Senior Design Engineer to join our team! 

 

This role works closely with clients, the ROVE sales team, and technology partners to ensure the successful technical sales and delivery of ROVE's Cloud, Data Center, Networking, Security & Collaboration solutions. Additionally, dynamic sales team support will surround this position for regular client and partner engagements. 

 

Pre-Sales Senior Design Engineer

As a Pre-Sales Design Engineer at ROVE, you will own the technical aspect of the ROVE sales cycle and client relationships. You are a subject matter expert in the technical fields that ROVE represents, focusing on Cisco Networking & Security offerings. You are a 'Trusted Advisor' to our clients' CIO & technical decision-makers and can architect and evangelize new and dynamic technical concepts. You are a collaborative team player with a personal drive to be an impact player for your team, and you bring new and inventive ideas to the table. The Senior Design Engineering position requires you to have a generalist position with technology while having expertise in key areas (Networking and Security). 

 

The Senior Design Engineer role will play a crucial part in partnership with the assigned Account Manager to help us position our brand as a trusted partner and leader in the region. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Client Engagement

 

· Lead the ROVE technology solution's technical design, including Next Generation Data Center, Networking, Collaboration & Security solutions. 

· Provide guidance and leadership to both the ROVE and client teams to ensure next-generation technology is understood and being evaluated in design criteria.

· Build and architect bills of materials, statements of work, proposal presentations, and diagrams to support the technical aspects of the sales campaign

· Align with Account Managers to identify additional architectural areas of opportunity in account base and develop technical strategy to address those additional opportunities

· Maintain customer relationships through strong communications and relationship building skills throughout the client technical and management team

· Work with ROVE leadership team to understand and relay technical input on ROVE pipeline and in quarter forecasted projects

· Evangelize new solution offerings and services to better position ROVE as a strategic partner to our clients

· Maintain and Develop relationships with OEM partners from av technical perspective to ensure ROVE has a well-aligned technical message

· Maintain currency on all technical aspects of your role to include next-generation messaging and applicable industry certifications

· Develop skills and expertise in a technology focus area

Requirements:

  • Seven (7)+ years of proven hands-on pre/post sales engineering experience or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, IPSEC, QoS, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP model
  • Minimum of (1) certification required (Or equivalent experience) - (CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, OSCP, CompTIA Security+)
