The West Chester-Liberty Chamber Alliance is seeking a dynamic Director of Special Events to lead the charge on some of the region’s most anticipated business and community gatherings.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Event Planning
- Design and execute a comprehensive annual calendar of Chamber events, including Signature Events, Luncheons, and Women 4 Women programming.
- Ensure all events align with the Chamber’s mission, brand identity, and strategic objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and evolve event strategy to enhance member engagement and community impact.
Event Production & Management
- Lead end-to-end event execution—from initial concept through day-of production and post-event wrap-up.
- Manage all logistical components including venue selection, speaker coordination, catering, audiovisual, décor, and award recipient communications.
- Develop and maintain detailed event timelines to ensure flawless delivery.
Fundraising & Sponsorship Development
- Collaborate with the Chamber team to identify, cultivate, and secure event sponsorships and in-kind partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Chamber members, sponsors, and key stakeholders to drive financial support and long-term engagement.
Budget Management & Reporting
- Partner with the Director of Finance to create, manage, and reconcile event budgets.
- Monitor expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility and maximize ROI.
- Deliver post-event reporting, including performance metrics and recommendations for future improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams, external vendors, and volunteers to ensure alignment and shared success.
- Lead planning meetings and collaborate with Chamber staff to integrate events into broader marketing and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in event planning, production, or related field.
- Proven track record of executing large-scale, high-visibility events and managing successful fundraising efforts.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, and solutions-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); experience with event or donor management software is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, in alignment with event schedules.
