Job/Practice Description: Orthopedic Surgery
- Broad generalist role: fracture care, joint procedures, general orthopedic cases
- Basic sports medicine component: knee/shoulder arthroscopy, ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs
- Opportunity for community or athletic team coverage
- Typical schedule: 2–3 clinic days and 2–3 OR days per week
- Immediate surgical volume with robust elective arthroscopy and soft-tissue cases
- Inpatient surgeries at the main campus; outpatient cases at a nearby surgery center
- Flexible group block time, with access to open block time from colleagues
- Low-burden ER call: 3–5 shifts per month (~48 days/year), taken from home with standard callback; unassigned shifts compensated separately
- Hospitalist/Trauma services handle primary inpatient admissions, with orthopedics as surgical consultant
Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified (ABOS/AOBOS) or actively Board Eligible
- Open to graduating residents/fellows as well as experienced surgeons
- Interest in building a high-volume general orthopedic and basic sports practice within a collegial group
