• Inpatient rounding team based at a hospital facility affiliated with a major health system
• Team of board-certified cardiologists

Job/Practice Description: Cardiology NP/PA

• Immediate opening, hospital-based, member of the inpatient rounding team
• See consults and provide follow-up care to inpatients under supervision of a cardiologist
• Care for interventional patients before and after procedures
• Coordinate follow-up care and communicate with hospitalists and primary care providers
• Training in supervision of cardiac stress tests can be arranged
• Not part of the acute STEMI emergency team; will not scrub in the cath lab
• Schedule: three 10-hour days during the week, plus day coverage every fourth weekend on a rotating basis

Requirements:

• Licensed NP or PA in Massachusetts
• Valid DEA certificate
• Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration
• Familiarity with cardiac diagnoses, procedures, and medications
• Experience with cardiac cath patients desirable
• Computer skills, including eClinicalWorks and Epic
• Compassion, maturity, organizational skills, and excellent communication
• Ability to work within a specialty team and hospital system
