A well-established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking an Assistant Medical Director – Family Medicine to join its growing team in Santa Fe, New Mexico, located approximately 60 miles (about a 1-hour drive) from Albuquerque.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $285,000
• Up to 15% annual performance bonus
• $3,000 quarterly leadership stipend for each Pharmacist and Physician Assistant supervised
• 5 weeks (200 hours) PTO
• $3,000 CME allowance plus 5 CME days
• Additional $1,000 for licensure and professional memberships

Position Highlights

• 50% clinical care / 50% leadership responsibilities
• Monday–Friday schedule
• Reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer
• Average of 2.6 patients per clinical hour

• Position created due to continued organizational growth
• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive primary care, supervising a team of 4 Physicians, 7 Nurse Practitioners, and 2 Physician Assistants, supporting clinical operations, coordinating provider schedules, monitoring productivity, and collaborating with leadership on workflow improvements and practice growth. Shared call schedule averages 1–4 times per month, with nurse triage handling first-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine
• Primary care physician interested in a leadership role as Assistant Medical Director
• Eligible for a New Mexico medical license
