Compensation:

• Salary range: $110,000–$125,000, based on experience, skills, and education

Job/Practice Description: Certified Nurse Midwife Hospitalist

• Provides inpatient and telehealth antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum care
• Cares for patients throughout admission, from triage through delivery and postpartum
• Performs histories and physical exams on new and returning patients
• Manages acute and chronic illness per protocol or in collaboration with physician
• Provides telehealth triage for antepartum/postpartum acute issues
• Performs procedures such as contraceptive implant and IUD insertion/removal, with appropriate training
• Participates in interdisciplinary teams and ongoing quality improvement activities
• Maintains active hospital delivery privileges and an active collaborative practice agreement with a physician
• Precepts students and participates in faculty/university activities as indicated

Requirements:

• MSN or DNP
• Basic rescuer CPR certification
• APRN–Certified Nurse Midwife license in Illinois
• Certification as a nurse midwife
• At least 2 years of CNM experience preferred
• Comfortable covering a busy L&D unit
• Medical Spanish proficiency preferred
