Superintendent / Senior Superintendent
Location: Long Island, NY (Projects across Long Island and the 5 Boroughs)
Salary Range: $125,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience)
Client: A well-established General Contractor / Construction Management firm
Our client, a respected GC/CM firm based in Long Island, NY, is seeking an experienced Superintendent and Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on various commercial and residential projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and reputable firm with a strong pipeline of work across Long Island and NYC’s five boroughs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades from site prep through final completion
- Develop and maintain lookahead schedules, site logistics, and daily progress reports
- Interface with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors
- Conduct site safety meetings and enforce all OSHA and company safety protocols
- Manage materials, deliveries, and on-site inventory
- Maintain site documentation, including logs, permits, and daily reports
Project Types:
- Healthcare and medical facilities
- University and campus construction
- Warehouses and logistics centers
- Stick frame multifamily and self-storage facilities
- Restaurants and retail build-outs
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a Superintendent role on commercial or multifamily projects
- Strong knowledge of all trades: civil, structural, MEP, interiors, and finishes
- OSHA 30 required; NYC Superintendent License strongly preferred
- Experience working across Long Island and/or the NYC boroughs
- Familiarity with Procore and other project management tools is ideal
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Licenses & Certifications:
- NYC Superintendent License (preferred)
- OSHA 30 (required)
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to visit project sites
- Must be able to climb stairs, navigate active construction sites, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds as needed
