Location: Stamford, Connecticut (serving CT, White Plains, NY, and Westchester County)

Salary Range: $155,000 – $185,000 (commensurate with experience) + Full Benefits + Incentives

Work Arrangement: Office + Field-Based (on-site with some regional travel as required)

Our client, a highly regarded Construction Management and General Contracting firm headquartered in Stamford, CT, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their team. About the Role

The Project Manager will take ownership of assigned projects, serving as the central point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage all aspects of ground-up and interior construction projects simultaneously.


Project types include:

  • Large-scale multifamily developments (market-rate, senior living, affordable housing)
  • Healthcare facilities and medical offices
  • Academic projects (K-12 and higher education)
  • Hospitality and private club spaces
  • Municipal, cultural, and institutional facilities


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction planning through closeout.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost controls to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Lead and facilitate project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for constructability and compliance.
  • Oversee procurement processes including bid reviews, contract negotiations, and buyouts.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols (OSHA and company-specific).
  • Implement quality control programs, oversee punch lists, and resolve deficiencies.
  • Prepare and submit monthly requisitions, financial forecasts, and project reports.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to assistant project managers, project engineers, and junior staff.
  • Represent the firm with professionalism while cultivating long-term client relationships.
  • Utilize project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam) to manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, change orders, and documentation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of project management experience with a construction management or general contracting firm.
  • Proven ability to deliver ground-up and interior construction projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (Bluebeam experience a plus).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster strong partnerships with clients, subcontractors, and design teams.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: $150,000 – $185,000 (commensurate with experience).
