Superintendent – NYC Office Renovation (MEP / Interiors)
Location: New York City
Salary Range: $125,000–$150,000 (commensurate with experience)
Status: Full-Time | Hiring Immediately
Our client is seeking a strong Superintendent to lead a New York City office renovation project. This role requires extensive experience with MEP-intensive interior renovations, along with the ability to manage daily field operations in a fast-paced NYC environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for a NYC office renovation project
- Manage and coordinate MEP trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection
- Supervise interior fit-out work including framing, drywall, and finishes
- Maintain project schedule, sequencing, and daily site logistics
- Coordinate closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and inspectors
- Enforce jobsite safety and NYC compliance standards
- Maintain daily reports, look-aheads, and site documentation
- Utilize Procore for daily logs, RFIs, photos, scheduling coordination, and field reporting
- Participate in inspections, punch lists, and project closeout
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent on NYC commercial/office renovation projects
- Strong MEP and interiors background
- Hands-on experience using Procore (required)
- Thorough knowledge of NYC building codes, inspections, and site logistics
- 62SST card required
- Ability to manage subcontractors and drive schedules in an active NYC environment
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
