Assistant Project Manager – Residential Development (Affordable Housing Projects)
Location: New York City – 5 Boroughs
Salary: $75,000 – $110,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the Project Management team across all phases of development and construction — from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow within a reputable organization that values collaboration, professional development, and community-focused work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day coordination and administration of active construction and renovation projects.
- Support with budget tracking, schedule management, and project reporting.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
- Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Participate in bid preparation and assist in the evaluation and selection of subcontractors and vendors.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and identify potential challenges.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with project closeout activities, including punch lists, warranties, and turnover documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a construction or development management role, ideally within multifamily residential or affordable housing sectors.
- Working knowledge of construction sequencing, documentation, and scheduling.
- Proficient in Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with diverse project teams.
