Superintendent – Ground-Up Affordable Housing
Baldwin, Long Island, NY
Salary: $150K–$165K + Medical Benefits + Full Compensation Package
Our client is a highly respected and well-established General Contractor with an outstanding reputation for building large-scale ground-up affordable housing, mixed-use residential, and multifamily developments throughout the Greater NY Metropolitan area, including New Jersey, Westchester County, and Stamford, CT.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they currently have an immediate need for an experienced Superintendent to oversee a new ground-up 5-story, 216-unit stick-frame over concrete affordable housing development in Baldwin, Long Island.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day field operations for a ground-up multifamily housing development
- Manage subcontractors, site logistics, scheduling, and overall project coordination
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and quality standards
- Coordinate inspections, deliveries, manpower, and sequencing of trades
- Conduct regular site meetings and maintain detailed project documentation
- Work closely with Project Management, Ownership, Consultants, and Inspectors
- Monitor jobsite safety and enforce OSHA compliance standards
- Utilize Procore for daily reporting, scheduling updates, documentation, and communication
- Maintain strong written documentation and communication with all project stakeholders
- Lead site operations from mobilization through project closeout
Requirements
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent overseeing ground-up construction projects
- Must have experience with:
- Ground-up multifamily residential projects
- Affordable housing developments
- Mixed-use residential construction
- Stick-frame over concrete construction preferred
- Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and coordination of all trades
- Procore proficiency is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead subcontractors and maintain project schedules in fast-paced environments
- OSHA certification preferred
- Must provide:

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors and manage projects in all weather conditions
- Ability to walk active construction sites daily
- Must be able to climb multiple levels of stairs/ladders as required
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds when necessary
Compensation & Benefits
