Reports To: Director of Operations
Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a multi-functional fulfillment center supporting customer distribution requirements. This position provides leadership for approximately 50 hourly associates and two Supervisors across two shifts, overseeing fulfillment, receiving, inventory control, replenishment, quality control, and coordination with transportation operations.
The successful candidate is a proven people developer who builds high-performing teams through coaching, accountability, and continuous learning. They combine strong operational execution with exceptional analytical capabilities to drive productivity, inventory accuracy, service performance, and cost efficiency. The Warehouse Manager is expected to foster a culture of continuous improvement while ensuring a safe workplace and an outstanding customer experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Direct all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, fulfillment, replenishment, inventory control, and quality control.
- Coordinate warehouse activities with transportation and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Develop and execute labor plans that align staffing with workload while maintaining service commitments.
- Monitor workflow and adjust resources to maximize productivity and minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a safe and organized workplace through adherence to safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
Leadership and Staff Development
- Lead, coach, and develop two Warehouse Supervisors and approximately 50 hourly associates.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Identify high-potential employees and develop succession plans for future leadership positions.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely coaching and constructive feedback.
- Partner with Human Resources to support hiring, onboarding, employee engagement, and performance management activities.
- Develop and maintain training programs that ensure employees are certified and proficient in required processes and equipment.
- Foster an environment where employees are encouraged to identify problems, propose solutions, and contribute to operational excellence.
Operational Analytics and Continuous Improvement
- Develop, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators, including:
- Productivity
- Inventory accuracy
- Order accuracy
- Service levels
- Labor utilization
- Quality metrics
- Utilize data analysis to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Develop action plans to improve operational performance while reducing waste and unnecessary cost.
- Present operational results and improvement initiatives to leadership through clear reporting and data-driven recommendations.
Inventory and Quality Management
- Ensure inventory accuracy through effective inventory control practices, cycle counting, and process discipline.
- Oversee replenishment strategies that support operational efficiency and customer service requirements.
- Partner with Quality Control personnel to ensure products are handled and shipped in accordance with customer expectations and company standards.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Systems and Process Management
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems to manage inventory and warehouse execution activities.
- Ensure accurate system transactions and process compliance across all warehouse functions.
- Support implementation of new processes, technologies, and system enhancements.
- Participate in testing and deployment of operational improvements when required.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive warehouse leadership experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct people management experience.
- Experience managing multiple warehouse functions including fulfillment, receiving, inventory control, and quality.
- Experience using a modern Warehouse Management System.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and operational reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System.
- Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience developing KPI dashboards and performance scorecards.
- Professional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, APICS/ASCM, or CSCMP.

Working Conditions
- Monday through Friday operation supporting two shifts (7:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.).
- Regular presence on the warehouse floor is required.
- Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout a warehouse environment for extended periods.
- Occasional flexibility in work hours may be required to support business needs.
