About the Role
The Site Manager is responsible for leading the overall operations of a distribution and logistics facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution across all aspects of the operation. This leader oversees daily operations, develops high-performing teams, and drives continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and service levels. The role requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic planning with operational execution while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of daily warehouse, distribution, and logistics operations to achieve safety, quality, service, and productivity goals.
- Develop and mentor supervisors and frontline employees while building a strong culture of engagement and accountability.
- Establish operational priorities and implement strategies that improve efficiency, throughput, and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, inventory management, and service performance.
- Monitor operational metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and workplace safety standards.
- Support workforce planning, hiring, training, and performance management initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on operational excellence, cost control, and process standardization.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure consistent service delivery.
Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of leadership experience in distribution, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or operations management.
- Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced operating environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
- Experience managing operational performance through KPIs and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional business partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with ERP, WMS, or other operational systems.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Background in multi-site, industrial, manufacturing, or distribution operations is preferred.
