Procurement & Inventory Manager

·        Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and budget.

·        Manage sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of materials, equipment, parts and services.

·        Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.

·        Implement a shop parts perpetual inventory system utilizing ERP across multiple company locations

·        Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without overstocking.

·        Use inventory management systems to track and forecast inventory needs.

·        Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance departments to streamline supply chain processes.

·        Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

·        Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.

·        Prepare and present regular reports on procurement and inventory metrics to leadership.

·        Manage and mentor procurement and inventory staff

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·        5+ years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain.

·        Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·        Strong communication and organizational skills.

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

·        Certification in supply chain (e.g., CPSM, APICS, CPIM) is a plus.

·        Experience in construction and automotive/ truck part fields

·        Familiarity with lean inventory practices and just-in-time (JIT) methodology.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a shop environment and can be exposed to a variety of environmental conditions as well as moving mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions. Must wear proper shop attire and protective safety equipment and measures are required and provided by Company
