The Position:

The Operations Manager at The Millstone Evans Group will play a central role in ensuring the firm runs with precision, consistency, and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the President, this leader will oversee daily operational execution, supervise the client service team, and ensure processes align with regulatory expectations within a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) environment.


This role serves as the operational bridge between advisors, custodians, compliance, and technology partners. The ideal candidate brings strong RIA operations experience, supervisory leadership, and an active Series 65 license, paired with a proactive mindset for improving workflows and mitigating risk.


Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Process Management

  • Oversee daily operational workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Maintain, refine, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Identify operational risks and implement process improvements
  • Ensure alignment between operations, advisory teams, and compliance requirements

Client Service Team Supervision

  • Supervise and develop the client service team
  • Manage service workflows, case management, and escalation protocols
  • Conduct performance reviews and coordinate ongoing training and development 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and client-centered service

Custodian & Vendor Liaison

  • Serve as the primary operational liaison with Raymond James and other custodial partners
  • Coordinate system updates, procedural changes, and custodial training initiatives
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure seamless service delivery

Cybersecurity & IT Coordination

  • Support execution of cybersecurity policies in collaboration with Compliance
  • Coordinate with third-party IT providers regarding infrastructure, system access, and controls
  • Monitor vendor risk documentation and user access controls
  • Support ongoing operational readiness in response to regulatory expectations 


Qualifications:

  • Active Series 65 license (required)
  • 5+ years of RIA or financial services operations experience
  • Demonstrated experience supervising operations or client service teams
  • Strong understanding of custodial workflows and regulatory supervision standards
  • Experience collaborating with Compliance on operational risk and cybersecurity execution
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced advisory environment


Salary & Benefits:

  • $120,000 - $150,000+ BOE
