The Position:

CCP is seeking a dynamic HR Generalist + Recruiter to join our team and help us attract top talent while enhancing the employee experience. This position will lead the company’s hiring efforts, focusing on filling approximately 15-20 positions per year, including field and office roles. This person will oversee new hire onboarding to guarantee a positive experience, plan and coordinate events, take on project administration duties, and perform other administrative tasks as needed. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, organized, personable, and passionate about creating a welcoming workplace.


Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment:
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for both field and office roles. These recruitment strategies may occasionally involve grassroots efforts for field workers such as setting up a booth at local markets or events to engage potential employees in their environment
  • Create and post job advertisements on various platforms, including job boards, social media, and industry networks
  • Source and screen candidates, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers to make final selections
  • Maintain relationships with local workforce organizations, trade schools, and community groups to build a talent pipeline
  • Track recruitment metrics and provide regular updates to leadership
  • Launch our social media presence with regular postings across platforms to spread a positive image of CCP to potential new employees and clients
  • Onboarding:
  • Plan and facilitate a seamless and positive onboarding experience for new hires
  • Prepare new hire paperwork and ensure compliance with all employment regulations
  • Conduct orientation sessions to familiarize new employees with company policies, safety procedures, and culture
  • Perform post onboarding follow up call to see how their experience is going with supervisor
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (EEO, FMLA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Maintain employee records, I-9 documentation, and personnel files in accordance with legal requirements
  • Support the company’s safety initiatives, working with supervisors to ensure compliance with OSHA and job site safety standards
  • Responds to unemployment claims
  • Assists with workman’s compensation renewals and compliance
  • Employee Engagement & Performance Management:
  • Consistently organizes company events, including team-building activities, training sessions, and celebrations
  • Support initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, promoting a positive work culture
  • Mediate workplace disputes and provide guidance to managers on disciplinary actions
  • Assist in performance reviews and employee development plans
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration:
  • Oversee payroll processing in coordination with accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), workers’ compensation, and PTO policies
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and address any questions or concerns
  • Assist with insurance benefits renewals and explore new options
  • HR Policies & Process Improvement:
  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures
  • Owns employee handbook. Ensure proper documentation and implementation of company policies
  • Continuously improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience
  • Project Administration:
  • Provide administrative support to project teams, including maintaining records, tracking project milestones, and assisting with documentation
  • Serve as a liaison between the office and field teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by management


Required Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
  • Previous experience in recruiting, HR, or a related field, preferably within construction or a similar industry
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices
  • Experience with project administration or event planning
  • Understanding of the construction industry and labor market
