The Organization:
The company is the single family office to their client and provides traditional family office services including legal advice, tax preparation, trust and estate planning, wealth management, insurance and risk management, financial planning, philanthropic support, property management, investment management, and various administrative services.
The Position:
The Household Manager will lead, oversee, and work collaboratively with the household team on a daily basis. This role will take direction from both the Principal and the Director of Family Services. Working closely with other household staff, the Household Manager will ensure efficient service is delivered to the Family and extended Family across multiple local properties.
Responsibilities:
- Provide the Principal with daily morning updates, as well as seamless communication and planning for personal, property, and household needs.
- Supervise the household team, including housekeeping staff, family assistants, childcare providers, seasonal staff, and other vendors as required; cover for these positions as needed for team member absences.
- Assist with planning, setup, and seamless orchestration of small- to large-scale events hosted at Family properties, corporate facilities, and elsewhere as requested.
- Assist with miscellaneous household duties, to include: organizational home projects, delivery of daily Family services, light housekeeping/general tidying, holiday decorating, occasional childcare for short periods, ensuring seasonal property readying and transition, maintain household “look books,” miscellaneous Family tasks as needed.
- Prepare Family properties for overnight guests and serve as the point of contact for guests.
- Oversee third-party contractors and vendors while working on-site in Family homes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar role for a private Family; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, dependable, adaptable, and a consummate team player. Must have excellent time management skills.
- Superb written and oral communication skills; a gift for distilling information into concise verbal and written formats.
- Excel at collaboration, critical thinking, and flexibility with a warm, calm, professional demeanor.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining a private employer's confidentiality, safety, security, and privacy.
- Possess a "no job too big or too small" attitude, as well as a strong moral compass and sense of personal integrity.
- Able to observe typical schedule of M-F, 8:30am - 6:00pm, but flexibility is required. Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Valid U.S. Passport required; willing and able to travel to support the Family at their local, regional, and out-of-state properties.
- Familiarity with the Spanish language is a plus.
- Must be computer savvy with proficiency in Mac and PC operating systems, including Office, Chrome, and Safari. Proficient in ordering online groceries, household products, etc.
Salary & Benefits:
- $90,000 - 120,000 per year
