Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) leader to join a fast-growing organization. This role is responsible for driving enterprise-wide FP&A functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, performance reporting, and strategic decision support. The Director of FP&A will serve as a key business partner to executive leadership and cross-functional teams, helping shape financial strategy and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the FP&A calendar, including annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Lead development of dynamic financial models to support scenario planning, profitability analysis, and long-range planning
- Deliver timely and accurate FP&A reports, including variance analyses, KPIs, and performance dashboards
- Provide financial insight and decision support to Sales, Marketing, Operations, and executive leadership
- Support board and investor reporting with data-backed insights and clear financial narratives
- Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and systems for greater efficiency and scalability
- Evaluate business cases for strategic initiatives such as pricing changes, new product launches, and market expansion
- Partner closely with Accounting to align planning outputs with actual results
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally in retail services, consumer goods, or commission-based business models
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; familiarity with NetSuite, Power BI, and FP&A platforms such as Planful or Adaptive Planning is a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities
