The Opportunity

Seeking a Vice President of Structural Engineering to lead and grow our Structural Engineering department in the Tampa market. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing technical teams, managing project execution, and driving business development within the structural engineering discipline.

You’ll lead with expertise, guide multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to project delivery from concept to completion. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of structural engineering while working closely with both public and private clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects including design, analysis, and preparation of construction documents.
• Manage and monitor project budgets, schedules, and profitability.
• Act as project manager and primary client contact on key accounts.
• Direct and supervise technical teams within the Structural Engineering department.
• Conduct business development and client relationship activities to expand department capabilities.
• Review and approve project scopes, estimates, pricing, and marketing strategies.
• Develop and manage engineering agreements and contracts.
• Produce construction-ready drawings and calculations using Revit and other design tools.
• Ensure project quality control and adherence to company quality standards.
• Prepare and forecast department workload and resource allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Florida Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
• 12–15 years of progressive experience in structural engineering.
• Proficient in Revit and other engineering design software.
• Proven track record in project management and client development.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to grow and mentor high-performing teams.
• Experience delivering innovative, integrated solutions aligned with client objectives.
