A large and well-established Heavy Civil contractor based in North Myrtle Beach, SC, is seeking an Estimator to join our Project Management Department. With over 65 years of success and growth, we are one of the largest contractors of our kind in the state and continue to expand rapidly.

About the Role:

As an Estimator, you will work closely with our Estimating Team and Superintendents to manage Heavy Civil Sitework contracts from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen, project management experience, and be ready to contribute to a collaborative and fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Estimating and Superintendents on Heavy Civil Construction projects
  • Review and execute Contract and Subcontract documents for assigned projects.
  • Track project progress, monitor quantities and costs, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Project Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in heavy civil earthwork or sitework projects preferred.
  • Familiarity with HCSS HeavyJob, AGTEK Gradework, and Trimble Business Center preferred; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
