Senior Project Manager, Civil Engineering
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex site and civil engineering projects in Austin and throughout Central Texas. This position will manage projects from initial concept through design, permitting, and construction while helping develop client relationships and mentor technical staff.
The ideal candidate will have extensive private land development experience and a strong understanding of the Central Texas market. Experience supporting data center, commercial, industrial, mixed use, residential, or other large scale development projects is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead site and civil engineering projects from planning and entitlement through final design and construction support
- Oversee grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, hydrology, hydraulics, erosion control, and site infrastructure design
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, technical quality, and client expectations
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, consultants, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
- Lead permitting and approval efforts throughout Austin and Central Texas
- Prepare and review technical plans, calculations, specifications, reports, proposals, and permit packages
- Support client development, proposal strategy, presentations, and pursuit activities
- Mentor project engineers and design staff while helping grow a high performing technical team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- At least ten years of progressive site and civil engineering experience
- Active Professional Engineer license required, with Texas licensure strongly preferred
- Substantial private site development and land development experience
- Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, SWPPP, and permitting
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Experience leading multidisciplinary projects, project teams, and client relationships
- Established Central Texas relationships and business development experience preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, technical, and organizational skills
