About the Role

We are seeking Estimators at all levels (including Senior Estimators) with heavy civil construction experience to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with expertise in estimating projects related to highway interchanges, drainage systems, roads, bridges, and other heavy civil infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have prior experience bidding on DOT and heavy highway projects and a strong background in estimating self-performed work, including labor, equipment, and materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for heavy civil projects ranging from $5M to $50M.
• Develop detailed contract estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
• Identify constructability issues, cost risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Price self-performed work, including labor, equipment, and materials.
• Work with HCSS estimating software (preferred).
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Travel within Florida may be required.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, highway, or DOT projects (required).
• Experience working for a General Contractor on heavy highway projects.
• Proficiency in construction assemblies, project phases, and site risk assessment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
