The content marketing manager will report to our director of product marketing. In this role, you will create and curate content to drive engagement with our target audiences by leveraging SEO strategies. Additionally, you own the development of our editorial calendar and the creation of content to build inbound traffic and engagement, as well as develop blog posts, draft email copy, long-form articles, whitepapers, and product sheets as needed. This individual is also responsible for publishing content to the Web site, drafting copy for landing pages, and activating content through organic and paid social tactics. You are also the owner of our social media channels.
 
Role Requirements
- Use audience insights, personas, keyword research, messaging themes, campaign plans, competitive information, and content performance analytics to build a blog editorial calendar and create related content.
- Create a steady stream of primary and derivative asset types that can be leveraged across various channels and use cases. 
- Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support content ideation, creation, activation, and measurement requirements.
- Execute keyword research and define a keyword universe that aligns with audience needs, business priorities, and inbound traffic goals, collaborating with a search engine optimization (SEO) agency/ contractor as needed. 
- Publish and activate content on our website.
- Collect, analyze, and report on content marketing success via standard content marketing-related KPIs, using Web analytics tools, marketing automation platforms, and social media management tools to inform and optimize ongoing content marketing efforts. 
- Own and execute our social media strategy.
- Ability to develop journalistic subject matter expertise that aligns with core coverage topics. 
- Excellent research and interviewing skills 
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new business domain knowledge to content strategy and asset creation. 
 
Relevant Experience
- BA in English, journalism, marketing, or communications 
- Five to seven years of related experience (editorial, journalism, content marketing, copywriting, digital marketing) 
- Complex project management experience 
- Must have social media management and content/copywriting experience.
- Must have cybersecurity domain/product category knowledge and experience.
- Strong writing and editing skills. 
- Keyword research skills and basic technical SEO knowledge 
- Ability to work in a Web content management system. 
- Ability to tag and link content for SEO. 
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
