A Day in the Life of the Analog Engineer
This Analog Engineer will be a key contributor to our engineering team working on the design and implementation of low noise analog EP front-end electronics. The Analog Engineer will work closely with Digital and Firmware EEs in the integration of the AFE within the complete system.
- Design of low noise Analog Front End electronics (AFE) that meets all international medical safety and emission standards (60601-1, CE, etc.)
- Use of Analysis tools to determine basic circuit performance based on system requirements.
- Use of Simulation tools to verify circuit implementations based on requirements analysis.
- Collaborate with digital and firmware engineering teams to implement appropriate analog design and digital signal processing algorithms to meet system requirements.
- Quickly develop functional prototypes that demonstrate design feasibility.
- Maintain, update, and document design requirements throughout the entire system life cycle.
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in EE, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, Biophysics with an undergraduate degree in EE engineering
- 5+ years of experience designing low noise analog systems (would consider educational experience).
- Extensive theoretical background in Analog Electronics Design.
- Experience with micro-volt level electronics front ends.
- Experience with circuit board level design
- Experience with ECG, EGM, Neurosignals, and Ultrasound imaging
- Experience with 6060-1- and other related standards is a plus
- Experience with Spice, MATLAB, MathCad, and Altium or Orcad.
- Experience with some DSP techniques.
- Excellent oral and written communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to explain complex architecture, designs, and new technology to technical team members.
