We are actively seeking an EMEA Theater Chief Technology Officer. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in EMEA.

Special Note to Applicants


This is not a traditional internal CTO position typically housed within the internal IT office. The Theater Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role is entirely external-facing. It does not involve managing a team or staff. Instead, the position will collaborate closely with various teams across the company, including our global product management, professional services, marketing, cybersecurity, and other teams as needed.


The role focuses on advisory, relationship building, generating awareness, and identifying opportunities. It does not encompass project execution responsibilities.


Position Summary


The Theater Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will serve as the primary technical advisor and thought leader for our customers and prospects in their respective regions. This customer-facing role requires a deep understanding of enterprise architecture, ERP systems, and related technologies. Reporting to the Global Corporate CTO based in the US and the local Theater General Manager in their respective region, the Theater CTO will play a crucial role in building credibility, generating awareness, and driving business growth through public speaking, content creation, and direct executive customer engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Architecture Guidance
  • Provide expert advice on IT enterprise architecture, best practices, and strategic road mapping for regional customers and prospects.
  • Engage in discussions on enterprise systems such as Oracle and SAP ERP, cloud infrastructure, databases, Java, cloud deployments, and data integration.
  • Assist in building credibility with executives to help the sales team and account management teams secure new business and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
  • Be a rainmaker that identifies opportunities and develops a status of a trusted adviser.
  • Understand and address technical sales objections and concerns from prospects.
  • Public Speaking and Industry Engagement
  • Act as the regional public spokesperson, delivering presentations at industry events, conferences, social events, boardroom sessions, and roundtables.
  • Generate awareness through educational and insightful conversations in various formats.
  • Thought Leadership and Content Creation
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to produce webinars, articles, white papers, media interviews, and other thought leadership content.
  • Continuously create fresh and engaging educational pieces to drive traffic to our website and generate interest in our services.


Candidate Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Deep Technical Expertise and Advisory
  • Extensive experience advising C-level executives and providing enterprise architecture and ERP road map consultations.
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP modules, implementation, deployment, and functionality (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite, SAP ECC, S/4HANA, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ERP on-premise and cloud deployment models, including IaaS and SaaS strategies.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and solutions for ERP workloads.
  • Proficiency in relevant technologies such as Java, operating systems, storage, cloud technologies, data migration, integration, AI, and more.
  • 5+ years of Public Speaking and Thought Leadership
  • Proven experience in public speaking, media engagements, and content publication.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating thought leadership content and driving engagement through educational materials.
  • Interpersonal Skills and Regional Expertise
  • Strong communication skills, both in the local regional language and English.
  • Ability to travel regionally and internationally as needed.
  • Established relationships with CIO-level executives in the region.
  • Experience negotiating with ERP vendors is a plus.
  • Additional Qualifications
  • 5+ Years of Previous experience as a CIO or similar role with a track record of successful ERP implementations and IT transformations.
  • Knowledge of SaaS solutions like SAP RISE, Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, and others.
  • 5+ Years of working with cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) and workload migration methodologies.
  • Insight into industry trends, emerging technologies, and AI solutions related to ERP and enterprise data.
  • Personal Attributes
  • Articulate and poised, with strong public presentation skills.
  • Proactive, innovative, and visionary in approach.
  • Able to effectively respond to common objections and concerns related to third-party support services.
  • Must speak fluent English. Multiple additional spoken languages preferred.


Education

  • MS/MBA: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent.
