What You'll be Doing:

• Contribute to processes for providing world class UI/UX design resources.
• Work closely with Product Managers to design amazing user experiences and encourage engagement and delight.
• Provide design solutions and assets for both mobile and tablet devices.
• Strictly follow Human Interface Guidelines for iOS, and Material Design, but know how, why and when to depart from established patterns.
• Communicate design decisions effectively and with supporting evidence and information.
• Align with the Design Team for consistency as well as other mobile designers for feature parity.
• Work closely with Engineering teams to ensure the desired user experience is achieved.
• Be passionate about design and brand with a strong understanding around the fundamentals of design.
• Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and what they should look like.
• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Adhere to and contribute to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
• Effectively communicating design intentions with engineers, product managers, and leadership.
• Use version controls tools to backup and share your work.
• Be well versed and comfortable in agile product management frameworks and exercise top notch UI/UX skills.   
• Spend time with customers in partnership with product management to gain empathy for their use cases.
• Know the customer through observations, interviewing, journey mapping, process flowing, jobs to be done exercises, etc.         

What makes you the hero for this job:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience preferred. 
• Mobile design experience required, looking specifically for Android experience.
• Expert knowledge of mobile design patterns following Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
• Experience with UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, XD & Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Demonstrated ability to empathize with end-users and understand how their needs impact key decisions.
• Outstanding communicator - both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness to collaborate with the design team to maintain standards and consistent styles and shared design components.
• Proven success articulating and defending design decisions.
• Experience conducting design throughout an agile development process.
• Ability to be self-directed to solve business issues in defined product areas.
• Ability to make decisions about and prioritize own work.
• Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience at a startup or highly dynamic environment.
• Passionate advocate for our customers and the user experience.
• Drive to become the subject matter expert in your product area and be the “go to” person.
