Summary of the role:

Are you the next Data Engineer we are looking for?

• You will be a key member for the delivery of the R&D deliverables for 2022 roadmap.
• You will require close interactions with Amadeus engineers, vendor partners, and product management. 
• You will always look for ways to optimize personal and collective performance.

In this role you’ll:

• Data engineering and data modeling architecture knowledge of analytics platforms.
• This included experience with large scale ETL/ELT, denormalization and schema knowledge, tuning of data ingest pipelines. Research and implement cutting edge solutions to solve challenges related to ETL/ELT, data processing, and analytics.
• Streaming experience with Kafka or Flink would be added bonus. Large scale ingestion, lambda architectures, etc.
• Strong python knowledge for data pipelines.
• Build and maintain Amadeus data orchestration system (Airflow). 
• Support and develop data flows by developing processes that verify, standardize, and scale data input, transformation and storage.
• Ability to write well defined and unit tested modular code for consistent DAG design.

• Data model experience for Data warehousing using modern standards (dimensional modeling, working knowledge of multiple types of DBs including RDBMS, Columnar, NoSQL, etc. would be beneficial). Druid, Spark, preferred.
• Strong communication skills of data concepts and mapping to product needs with limited supervision

About the ideal candidate:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Relevant Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or related field
• Business Understanding: Knowledge of travel industry and hotel in particular is a plus
• Skills:
• Computing: Python, Multiple DB Systems, Big Data Analytics (Hive, Hadoop, etc.)
• Language: English
• Specific Knowledge: Data Modeling
• Other:
• Experience in full stack software development in both User Interface and server-side technologies. 
• Experience in cloud-based systems is a plus
