Salary/Payrate: $85-95K bonus and AWESOME benefits!!!

Work Environment:  Hybrid - in office Monday through Wednesday

Term: Permanent / Fulltime

Our client is seeking a skilled Real Estate / Corporate Paralegal to support attorneys in all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions. This role involves handling documentation, due diligence, closings, and post-closing activities for acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, development, and construction projects. The position also includes assisting with the formation and maintenance of corporate entities involved in real estate transfers, mergers, and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with contract review, inspection letters, and due diligence items.
  • Order and review title commitments, exception documents, and surveys; resolve discrepancies with title companies and surveyors.
  • Prepare and manage contract critical dates and closing checklists.
  • Coordinate escrow deposits, earnest money, and disbursement of funds with title companies.
  • Prepare conveyance documents, closing statements, and other required documentation for closings.
  • Obtain transfer tax stamps, zoning certificates, tax bills, water certifications, condo letters, insurance certificates, and payoff letters.
  • Handle post-closing matters, including closing binders, indices, and required filings.
  • Draft initial agreements, amendments, estoppel certificates, and miscellaneous documents for attorney review.
  • Prepare and review lease and loan abstracts; review planning and zoning reports.
  • Form, amend, reinstate, and maintain LLCs, partnerships, and corporations; prepare authority documents and operating agreements.
  • Draft real estate stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, and file UCC financing statements.
  • Order lien searches, prepare summaries, and record documents across jurisdictions.
  • Conduct research on state and local transfer tax, recording, and compliance requirements.

 


Essential Skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and independent judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel (including file/database merges); ability to conduct online public record research.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work early, late, or on weekends as needed.
  • Aptitude for working with numbers, calculations, and financial documentation.

 


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, construction, and development (law firm experience preferred; in-house experience considered).
  • Notary Public license required.
