Job Description: 

Our client is seeking a full-time Probate Paralegal with at least 4 years of probate and trust administration experience to join our Estate and Succession Planning Group. 

 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Draft and file pleadings for summary, formal and ancillary administrations.
  • Draft and file probate documents such as petitions, inventories, and accountings. 
  • Manage estate inventories and ensure accurate documentation of assets and liabilities.
  • Prepare estate and gift tax returns.
  • Possess an extensive working knowledge of Florida Guardianship, probate, and trust laws.
  • Organize and maintain case files, oversee case calendars, and monitor crucial deadlines. Provide regular updates to attorneys on case progress.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and handle sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Other projects and general administrative duties, as assigned by supervisors.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or completion of an accredited paralegal program.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a paralegal in probate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF.
  • In-depth knowledge of probate procedures and trust administration.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents and using relevant software and databases.
